Realizing our son Chase was special compared to other kids was a difficult time for us. We had a feeling something was wrong when he wasn’t reaching the normal milestones toddlers his age would reach. We turned to Childlink thinking he needed as extra boost. Then, we had the honor of meeting Hanadi, from Sunshine Therapy Club. She was an excellent teacher. We welcomed her into our home on a weekly basis and she was filled with love and patience towards our son. After spending valuable time with Chase, she mentioned to us that we should have him tested for Fragile X. We took her advice and he was diagnosed a few weeks later. Although, at first it was a shock, we were relieved to know the reason our son was having difficulties. Throughout his life, he was taken to numerous pediatricians and neurologists; no one ever mentioned Fragile X as a possibility. If it wasn’t for Hanadi’s knowledge in her field, we would be still puzzled by our son’s condition. We know now, that through the love and support of our family, friends and especially Hanadi’s help and support, our son will have a healthy and successful future. Thank you! T.
